Ugesic capsule belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat moderate to severe pain in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Lactating mothers: Ugesic capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding.

Pregnancy: Ugesic capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy, as this medicine shows definite evidence of risk to the developing baby.
Driving: Ugesic capsule unsafe to use while driving, as this medicine can cause dizziness, loss of balance and mental problems and this may affect your ability to drive.
Alcohol: Should avoid alcohol consumption with ugesic tablet as it leads to severe liver damage.
Kidney: Due to limited data, ugesic tablet should be administered with caution in patients with renal impairment.
Liver: The elimination of ugesic may be prolonged in liver disease leading to higher plasma levels and a higher risk of adverse effects.
Should be used with caution in hepatic impairment.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.

• Ugesic + Antiplatelets: Concurrent use of ugesic with antiplatelets may increase the risk of bleeding.
• Ugesic + Apixaban: Concurrent use of ugesic with apixaban may cause increase in anticoagulation.
• Ugesic + Methotrexate: Concurrent use of ugesic with methotrexate may lead to an increase in the levels of methotrexate by decreasing renal clearance.
• Ugesic + Captopril: Concurrent use of ugesic with captopril may significantly decrease renal function.
Ugesic may diminish the antihypertensive effect of captopril.
Monitor closely
• Ugesic + Amiloride: Concurrent use of ugesic and amiloride may result in increased serum potassium levels.
• Ugesic + Escitalopram: Concurrent use of ugesic with escitalopram may increase the toxicity of others by pharmacodynamic synergism.
