PENTANERV NT tablet is a combination of two medicines: gabapentin and nortriptyline.
gabapentin is an alpha two delta ligand that decreases pain by modulating the calcium channel activity of the nerve cells.
nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain.
Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves)..
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Pentanerv nt tablet is used to treat certain types of long-lasting pain caused by damage to nerves.

2. Can I stop taking PENTANERV NT tablet when my pain is relieved?
Ans: No, you should not stop taking this tablet even if your pain is relieved. Please continue to take it as advised by your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking PENTANERV NT tablet, you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, sleeping difficulties, nausea, pain and sweating. You may need to gradually taper the dose before you stop the medication completely.
3. How long will the PENTANERV NT tablet take to act?
Ans: An initial benefit with PENTANERV NT tablet may be seen after two weeks of treatment. However, it may take around 2-3 months to see the full benefit. It may even take longer in some patients.
4. What if I forget to take PENTANERV NT tablet?
Ans: If you forget to take the scheduled dose of PENTANERV NT tablet, and it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose at the scheduled time. Otherwise, please take it as soon as you remember, and then go back to taking your medicine as you would normally. Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose you missed because this may increase the risk of unwanted side effects due to overdosage. If you are not sure what to do, ask your doctor about taking this tablet.
5. What if I take too much of this drug by mistake?
Ans: In a situation like this, contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency help at the nearest hospital. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. You may need urgent medical attention. Overdose of this medicine may make you feel drowsy, weak, unsteady when walking, have double visions, slurred speech or diarrhoea, confusion, blurred vision, dizziness, body temperature changes (low and high), difficulty in breathing and increased heartbeat.
