This medication works by stopping the release of an egg (ovulation) and affecting sperm activity in the womb to prevent its union with the egg. It impacts the fertilisation process and prevents pregnancy.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily. Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..

• This medication is advised to prevent pregnancy and also to treat irregular periods • This medication may help reduce the risk of ovarian cancer • Avoid this tablet if you are obese, over 35 years of age, smoke, on prolonged bed rest, or have a history of blood clots • Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any swelling and pain in your limbs, breathlessness, chest pain, severe headache, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein • Inform your doctor immediately if you notice your skin and whites of the eye turning yellow (jaundice), severe stomach pain, severe depression or if you think you could be pregnant • This medication may results in lighter, less painful & more regular menstrual bleeding and you may also experience menstrual irregularities such as spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods or missed periods.
