Pregnancy: Onglyza tablet is safe to use during pregnancy, as this medicine does not show any harmful effects on the developing baby.
Driving: Onglyza tablet unsafe to use while driving, as this medicine can cause dizziness and loss of balance, which may affect your ability to drive.
Alcohol: It is unsafe to consume alcohol.
Should avoid alcohol consumption with onglyza as it may decrease blood glucose levels.
Kidney: Due to limited data, onglyza tablets should be administered with caution in patients with renal impairment.
Liver: Onglyza tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease.

Onglyza is an anti-diabetic medication.
It works by increasing insulin release from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Onglyza tablet should be taken simultaneously every day since this helps you remember to take it.
• Be careful while driving or operating machinery until you know how onglyza tablet affects you.
• It may cause hypoglycemia when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal.
• Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you if you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremors and anxiety.
• Inform your doctor if you notice joint pains or develop symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea and vomiting.

• Onglyza + Fluoroquinolones: Concurrent use of fluoroquinolones and antidiabetic agents may result in changes in blood glucose and increased risk of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.
• Onglyza + Hydroxychloroquine: Concurrent use of hydroxychloroquine and antidiabetic agent may result in hypoglycemia.
• Onglyza + Octreotide: Concurrent use of somatostatin analogues and antidiabetic agents may result in impaired glucose regulation.

• Onglyza + Atenolol: Concurrent use of antidiabetic agents and beta-adrenergic blockers may result in hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia and decreased symptoms of hypoglycemia.
• Onglyza + Captopril: Concurrent use of ace inhibitors and antidiabetic agents may result in an increased risk of hypoglycemia.
• Onglyza + Triamterene: Concurrent use of antidiabetic agents and selected diuretics may increase hyperglycemia risk and increase insulin requirement.
