Coadministration of arbs with drugs that affect raas may increase the risk of renal impairment including acute renal failure and cause loss of antihypertensive effect in patients who are elderly, volume-depleted including those on diuretic therapy, or have compromised renal function. Serious • Hydrochlorothiazide + Losartan potassium + Abametapir: Concurrent use leads to decrease in levels of losartan by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme cyp3a4 metabolism • Hydrochlorothiazide + Losartan potassium + Benazepril: Concurrent use leads to increased toxicity of either of them by pharmacodynamic synergism leading to increase risk of hypotension, hyperkalemia and renal impairment • Hydrochlorothiazide + Losartan potassium + Lithium: Concurrent use leads to increased toxicity of lithium by decreasing its renal clearance Monitor closely • Hydrochlorothiazide + Losartan potassium + Acebutolol: Concurrent use leads to increased serum potassium levels due to pharmacodynamic synergism • Hydrochlorothiazide + Losartan potassium + Albiglutide: Concurrent use leads to increased effects of albigutide by losartan as it enhances hypoglycemic effects of albiglutide.
