MONTAIR AB is a mucolytic. it works by making the mucus thin and loose, thereby it helps to cough out easily and makes breathing easier by opening airways.
montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. it works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (leukotriene).
hence it reduces inflammation in the nose & airways to prevent allergy symptoms and asthma..

If you miss a dose of MONTAIR AB, take it as soon as possible. If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily. Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
