If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.

• Glycomet tablet is prescribed to control the blood sugar level and reduce the risk of diabetic complications such as heart attacks

• Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as this tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood
• Prolonged use of this tablet may lead to vitamin b12 deficiency, leading to anaemia, causing fatigue, pale skin, shortness of breath, or headache.

• Blood sugar levels and kidney functions are monitored by your doctor regularly while you are taking this medication.
Contraindicated • Glycomet + Contrast media (iodinated): Contrast media increases levels of metformin by decreasing renal clearance • Glycomet + Ethanol: Ethanol increases toxicity of metformin by excessive etoh consumption may alter glycemic control Serious • Glycomet + Verapamil: Verapamil may inhibit metabolic uptake of metformin by oct1 transporters • Glycomet + Cimetidine: Cimetidine may decrease the renal elimination of metformin and thus lead to an increase in metformin plasma concentration • Glycomet + Crizotinib: Crizotinib may alter the efficacy and renal elimination of metformin.
