If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Gluconorm tablet is prescribed to control the blood sugar level and reduce the risk of diabetic complications such as heart attacks

• Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as this tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood
• Prolonged use of this tablet may lead to vitamin b12 deficiency, leading to anaemia, causing fatigue, pale skin, shortness of breath, or headache.

• Blood sugar levels and kidney functions are monitored by your doctor regularly while you are taking this medication.
Contraindicated • Gluconorm + Contrast media (iodinated): Contrast media increases levels of metformin by decreasing renal clearance • Gluconorm + Ethanol: Ethanol increases toxicity of metformin by excessive etoh consumption may alter glycemic control Serious • Gluconorm + Verapamil: Verapamil may inhibit metabolic uptake of metformin by oct1 transporters • Gluconorm + Cimetidine: Cimetidine may decrease the renal elimination of metformin and thus lead to an increase in metformin plasma concentration • Gluconorm + Crizotinib: Crizotinib may alter the efficacy and renal elimination of metformin.
