• alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may decrease medication absorption. • avoid taking this medication simultaneously with antacids.
• overdose of syrup leads to fainting, trouble breathing, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. • take iron-rich foods like fish, beans, dry fruits, iron, cereals and bread, green leafy vegetables • eat healthy food like green leafy vegetables • avoid junk foods.
• foods like dairy products, coffee, and tea may decrease the efficacy of iron and folic acid syrup.
