If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.

However, kidney damage may occur if enam tablets are given with diuretics (water pills, drugs that increase urine production). In this case, the diuretic should be discontinued or the dose reduced. If you have severe heart failure or if your kidneys are already affected, you are at risk for kidney failure. However, timely and adequate treatment can reverse the damage done to the kidneys.
