If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Take certamin tablets with or without food.
Do not crush, chew or break the tablet
• If you experience symptoms like diarrhoea, gas or stomach upset, take it with food
• Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking these tablets.
It may cause hepatic dysfunction
• Use certamin tablets with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Certamin + Sympathomimetics (indirect & mixed acting)/maois: Concurrent use of these drugs make your body not process sympathomimetics properly.
You may experience increased blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, seizures, or hallucinations.
• Certamin + Dapoxetine: Concurrent use of these medications can increase the level of serotonin in the body.
High serotonin levels may cause symptoms such as changes in body temperature, blood pressure, mood, tremor, muscle stiffness, or severe diarrhoea, resulting in a medical condition called serotonin syndrome.
Serotonin syndrome may be life-threatening.
• Certamin + Tryptophan: Concurrent use of these medications can increase the level of serotonin in the body.
• Certamin + Sibutramine: Concurrent use of these medications can increase the level of serotonin in the body.
• Certamin + Aspartame, phenylalanine, tyrosine/nitisinone: Concurrent use of these medications may increase the levels of tyrosine in the body.
Elevated tyrosine levels can cause problems in your vision, skin, and nervous system.
