Cefakind is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. This medicine is used to treat many different types of infections such as those of the lungs (pneumonia), ear, abdomen, urinary tract, bones, joints, skin and soft tissues. It doesn’t work for viral infections
Severe hypersensitivity to any other type of betalactam antibacterial agent (penicillins, monobactams and carbapenems) Hypersensitivity reactions Tendinitis or tendon rupture Myasthenia gravis.
Babies: Not applicable.
Lactating mothers: This tablet is considered safe to use during breastfeeding.
Human studies state that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk and is not harmful to the baby.
Avoid prolonged use of this tablet since it may cause side effects such as rash and diarrhoea.
Pregnancy: This tablet is considered safe to use during pregnancy.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
