4. How to use an inhaler?
Ans: First of all, remove the cap and shake it for 5 seconds. Hold the inhaler by supporting it with your index and thumb up. If necessary, grip the spacer with your other hand. Breathe out the air. Hold the mouthpiece between your teeth and close your lips tightly (be careful not to cover the hole with your tongue). You can also use two fingers to move the mouthpiece away from your mouth. Press on the top and inhale for about 4-6 seconds until the lungs are full. Hold the medicine in the lungs for as long as possible (5-10 seconds is good), then breathe out. If there is not enough air on the first breath, wait 15-30 seconds and try again. Shake the container again before inhaling. Re-close the cap tightly. Rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler.
