Avas CV is a combination medicine. it works by blocking the hmg-coa reductase enzyme, which is required in the body to make cholesterol & thereby lowers the bad cholesterol & triglycerides, and clopidogrel prevent clot formation in blood vessels..
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Avas CV tablet may cause diarrhoea or stomach upset. to prevent these effects, you are advised to take it with food • inform your doctor if you experience any fatigue, muscle weakness or muscle pain • inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems and avoid this tablet while breastfeeding or during pregnancy as it is unsafe and may lead to toxicity to the baby • do not go beyond your daily recommended dosage unless directed by your physician • seek immediate medical advice if you experience any unusual side effects from avas tablet.
• atorvastatin + bromocriptine: concurrent use may lead to decreased metabolism of atorvastatin • atorvastatin + clarithromycin: concurrent use may increase the risk of rhabdomyolysis • clopidogrel bisulfate + alfentanil: concurrent use may cause a decrease in the absorption of clopidogrel, resulting in reduced serum concentration and therapeutic efficacy • clopidogrel bisulfate + benorilate: concurrent use may increase the risk of bleeding.
