• Altacef syrup is an antibiotic used together with other medicines in the treatment of bacterial infections • The reconstituted suspension have to keep for up to 10 days • While taking this medication, if your child develops shortness of breath or swelling face, immediately consult your doctor • If diarrhoea occurs, make your child drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration • Take this medication with food to avoid stomach upset • Do not stop using this medication until the doctor advises you • Stop using if any adverse drug reactions have been found .
• Altacef syrup + Probenecid: Concurrent use leads to a decrease in the clearance of altacef • Altacef syrup +Gentamycin: Concurrent use leads to an increase in the risk of nephrotoxicity • Altacef syrup + Amikacin: Concurrent use leads to an increase in the risk of nephrotoxicity • Altacef syrup + Furosemide: Concurrent use leads to a decrease in the excretion rate of altacef.
