Trigaine Forte Lotion is a prescription medicine. This combination medicine is used to treat hair loss. It increases the blood supply to the scalp that promotes hair growth. Trigaine Forte Lotion is a combination of three medicines: Hydrocortisone, Minoxidil and Tretinoin which treat hair loss.
Hydrocortisone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the scalp red, swollen and itchy.
Minoxidil is a vasodilator, meaning it widens the blood vessels and provides better blood flow to the hair follicles.
This prevents hair loss and stimulates re-growth.
Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A.
It works by promoting the growth of hair follicles and additionally enhances the absorption of Minoxidil from the scalp..
