contraindicated • calcium carbonate + ceftriaxone: do not use any calcium-containing solutions in combination with iv ceftriaxone • calcium carbonate + eltrombopag: calcium carbonate decreases levels of eltrombopag by inhibition of gi absorption. serious • calcium carbonate + tetracycline: concurrent use of calcium carbonate and tetracycline either decreases levels of the other by inhibition of gi absorption • calcium carbonate + dapsone: calcium carbonate will decrease the level or effect of dapsone by increasing gastric ph • calcium carbonate + rifampicin: concurrent use of calcium carbonate and rifampicin may reduce the activity of vitamin d3 since they increase the rate of its metabolism • calcium carbonate + phenytoin: concurrent use of calcium carbonate and phenytoin may reduce the activity of vitamin d3 since they increase the rate of its metabolism.
