If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• Ascoril syrup is prescribed to treat dry cough.
• This medication is usually taken for a shorter duration until your symptoms may clear up.
• Measure the syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, but not with a regular tablespoon.
• It is advised to drink plenty of fluids that may help to loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while taking this medication.
• It should not be given to patients suffering from a chronic cough or where excessive secretions accompany the cough.
• Inform your doctor if your cough persists more than seven days, comes back or occurs with fever, rash or headache.
