1. Is ascoril a steroid/an opiate/an antihistamine/ a narcotic/an nsaid/a controlled substance/contain alcohol/have codeine?
Ans: Ascoril is an antitussive but not a steroid, antihistamine, opiate, nsaid or narcotic, but it may have additive effects if it is taken in larger doses than recommended. It does not contain codeine or alcohol.
2. Does ascoril work & how much dextromethorphan can I take for cough?
Ans: Yes, ascoril works for most of the patients. It should be taken as prescribed by your doctor or directed on the label. Most of the cough medications are taken only for a short duration until your symptoms improve.
